NUK College of Management Partners with Loughborough Business School to Launch Dual Degree Programs

2026-04-17
On April 15, the College of Management at the National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) signed a dual degree agreement with Loughborough Business School, expanding international academic opportunities for students through new 1+1 dual master’s degree and 4+1 bachelor’s-to-master’s degree pathways.
The agreement was signed by Dean Huang Yi-Hsiang on behalf of NUK’s College of Management, while Ali Choudhary attended the ceremony in Taiwan on behalf of the dean of Loughborough Business School. The partnership creates new opportunities for students pursuing international education and marks another major step forward in academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Dean Huang stated that Ali Choudhary’s visit to Taiwan demonstrated the strong commitment both institutions share toward this partnership. He noted that Loughborough University is a highly regarded research university in the United Kingdom, and its business school holds the prestigious triple crown accreditation of AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA—recognitions awarded to only a small percentage of business schools worldwide.
He emphasized that the collaboration will not only strengthen students’ international mobility but also deepen teaching and research cooperation in business and management disciplines, bringing new momentum to the college’s internationalization efforts.
Founded in 1909, Loughborough University has consistently ranked among the UK’s top universities and is internationally recognized for excellence in sports-related disciplines. During the 2024 Summer Olympics, students from the university contributed significantly to Team Great Britain’s medal achievements, winning a total of 35 medals, including 11 golds.
Loughborough Business School also maintains strong academic foundations in business management, finance, marketing, and supply chain management, consistently ranking among the UK’s top ten business schools while emphasizing both theoretical learning and practical application.
The partnership was actively facilitated by Associate Professor Cheng Yi-Hui from NUK’s Department of Applied Economics.
The collaboration offers two flexible pathways:
- 1+1 Dual Master’s Degree Program: Students complete part of their graduate studies at NUK before continuing at Loughborough University for a master’s degree.
- 4+1 Bachelor’s-to-Master’s Dual Degree Program: Undergraduate students can complete their bachelor’s studies at NUK and transition into graduate studies abroad. This pathway is also open to students from departments beyond the College of Management.
The program also includes scholarship opportunities, providing students with greater flexibility in planning international academic experiences while improving learning efficiency and global career competitiveness.
Applications and consultation services are now open beginning this academic year. Additional information regarding eligibility, application timelines, program requirements, and scholarship details will continue to be announced through NUK.
